Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions
In 1873, Lottie Moon was appointed as a missionary to China. She spent nearly 40 years sharing the gospel with love, courage, and unwavering faith.
Her letters home inspired churches to pray and give, leading to the beginning of the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for International Missions in 1918. Today, this offering supports missionaries and helps take the life-transforming message of Jesus to the nations.
Let’s honor her legacy by praying and giving so others can hear the hope of the gospel.
Christmas Worship Service
Invite a friend to join you for worship at 10:30AM on December 14th. The service will be led by the Worship Ministry Team and feature a brass ensemble and several choral selections as we celebrate the birth of Christ which brings Joy To The World!
Family Matters Potluck
Pull out your best “Church Supper” recipe and bring your pan, pot, tray or basket of yumminess to our Family Matters Potluck, Sunday, December 14 at 6PM in the Family Life Center. We’ll share a meal and share testimony of God’s work through Bartlesville Southern.
Christmas Eve Worship Service
Please join us December 24th at 6PM for a Christmas Eve Worship Service full of carols and candlelight.
OBU Lunch with Dr. Heath Thomas
Sunday, December 7, Dr. Heath Thomas, President of Oklahoma Baptist University, will be kicking off our Advent celebrations. After the worship service, we will host lunch in the Family Life Center for all who would like to hear about some exciting things happening at OBU. The lunch is free but RSVP is required for meal planning purposes. Please sign up in the foyer by this Sunday, November 30th.
The Great Gift Exchange
Ladies, invite a friend and join us in the Family Life Center Saturday, December 6, 9AM-12PM for a free Christmas fellowship brunch and gift exchange.

Celebration Meal & Worship
Come celebrate God’s goodness! Share a fellowship meal in the Family Life Center gym at 5:45PM, Wednesday, December 3, followed by a time of testimony and worship in the Worship Center at 6:30PM. Dinner is $4 per person with a $20 family maximum cost.
Hanging of the Greens
Sunday, November 30, following the morning worship service, stay for a little bit and help us decorate for the Advent Season. Pizza will be served to all who deck the halls… or wherever.
Operation Christmas Child Box Deadline
The Deadline to return the boxes is Sunday, November 16th! Drop off your filled box(es) to the front of the Worship Center.
Please include money for postage - but do not put it inside the box. Follow the instructions provided with each box.
Please use a rubber band to keep the lid closed instead of tape.
Free Advent Book!
Don’t forget to pick up a complimentary copy of Joy to the World by John Piper from the worship center foyer. The short daily readings will provide purpose and encouragement during Advent.
TOTO (Trick or Treat Outreach)
Our annual Trick Or Treat Outreach is going to be sa-weet!
Host a group of BSBCers at your home on October 31 and pass out candy to trick-or-treaters and make neighborly connections with kids and adults. Bags of candy with BSBC information and a written gospel explanation will be provided to 6-8 host homes around Bartlesville..
Can’t help on October 31st? Donate a bag of individually wrapped candy and/or help prepare the goodie bags in the gym on Wednesday, October 22 after mid-week meetings.
Fall Break - No Wednesday Night Activities
Wednesday, October 15, there will not be any evening activities on campus. Enjoy Fall Break!
Disaster Relief Training
Volunteer orientation is open to any member of a Southern Baptist church who is at least 18 years of age. Attending orientation does not obligate you to serve, but it is necessary before serving. A Disaster Relief ID badge will be issued to those who complete orientation and pass a background check.
Orientations and credentialing events may include training for feeding, chainsaw, mud-out/ash-out, shower/laundry, damage assessment, chaplaincy, formstack, and initial contact. The next training will be Saturday, October 11th, 2025 – 8:30am-2:30pm.

Craft Maker's Lab
Ladies, are you longing to make deeper connections with other women? Come hang out with us! The Craft Maker’s Lab is meeting in the Student House, Friday, October 10, 6-11PM. Drop by any time. Send Relief Serve Tour: Ft. Collins, CO
This September care for hurting communities by serving local churches, bivocational pastors, low-income schools and other organizations needing assistance. Projects may include light construction, painting, landscaping and hosting neighborhood grill walks or block parties.
By partnering with Colorado Baptists and Longs Peak Baptist Association, Send Relief makes it easy for BSBC to have a lasting impact on the lives of Fort Collins’ most vulnerable.
Itinerary:

9/24: Departure; worship with The Well church in Sydney, Nebraska.
Thursday
9/25: Travel to Fort Collins; explore the city in the afternoon/evening.
Friday & Saturday
9/26 & 27:
8AM-5PM, serve the city with several hundred other missionaries with NAMB.
Sunday
9/28: Worship with a sister church in Western Kansas on the way back to Bartlesville.

Senior Adult Volunteer Day at VOM
Join us Tuesday, September 23, at 8:00AM at the Voice of the Martyrs to assist in and learn about their ministry, including an optional mini tour. It’s a practical way to support persecuted brothers and sisters right here from Bartlesville. If you have not done so previously, please complete a required Background Check form online at Persecution.com.
I Love My Church Celebration
On the 21st day of September, we’re having a party after the morning worship service! Invite friends, neighbors, co-workers, your hair stylist, dog sitter, mailman and everyone else to join us for worship, lunch on the grounds, some games and most of all, to hear why we love BSBC and why we think they will, too!
HOPE Clinic Hygiene Drive
In support of the mission of HOPE Clinic, we’re collecting hygiene items to bless those served at the free clinic. Items can be dropped into the marked tubs at BSBC any time or bring them to the clinic on Sunday, September 14, 2:00-4:00PM. Full size items are most needed.
Donations most requested: Shampoo, soap, toothbrushes & toothpaste, deodorant, pillboxes.
Other items much appreciated: Individual hand sanitizer, devotionals, lip chap, brush/comb, laundry soap.
Youth Bake Sale for HOPE
In support of the mission of HOPE Clinic, our BSBC Youth and other youth groups from the Bartlesville area are selling baked treats to raise money for HOPE Clinic. Stop by their table during the Hygiene Drive, September 14, 2-4PM. Pick out a yummy treat in exchange for a donation of whatever you can afford. All donations will be used to provide for medical needs of people who visit the free clinic. Besides financially supporting local residents, the youth group that raises the most money will win a prize.
Family Matters International Potluck
This time, Family Matters will focus on the whole world… and how God is moving and working through the members of BSBC. Come taste the flavors of the world and discover a new favorite cuisine while hanging out with friends. Bring a dish to share, too.
Need a recipe for something exotic? The BSBC staff have gathered a few international recipes* from our partners overseas but we can’t cook them all without your help! Pick up a recipe in the Worship Center foyer and sign up so we can make sure there’s enough food.
If you’ve got an international recipe already picked out, then prepare it and join us for Family Matters at 6PM on Sunday, September 7.
*Partner recipe ingredients DO NOT include sheep brains or century old eggs.
Wednesday Night Fall Bible Studies Begin
Find refreshment, lift up other believers and grow in your faith through a Bible study this fall, 6:30PM, Wednesdays.

Back-to-School Kick-Off Cookout
We’ll share fellowship over a meal together (Featuring burgers from Price’s, Pastor Dany’s baked beans, and potato salad) and highlight the Bible study options for the fall. You won’t want to miss hanging out with the fam!

VBS 2022
Join us June 20–June 23 for Spark Studios VBS in the mornings at BSBC from 9AM to 11:30AM. Spark imagination and kick creativity into high gear at Spark Studios. In summer 2022, kids will learn that God’s creativity didn’t stop in Genesis. The Master Artist is working to redeem, reclaim, and transform us–His creation–to the design He planned for us. Kids will see the beautiful truth that they are God’s workmanship as they learn to use their talents to bring glory to Him.
Reformation Sunday Service and Cook-out
On October 31, Dr. Van Neste, Dean of School of Theology & Missions and Professor of Biblical Studies at Union University, will be with us in our AM service as he shares about the importance of the reformation to a disciple. Following the service, we will be sharing in a church-wide cook-out on the church grounds outside the Student House. Make plans to join us for this great time of fellowship.

Southern Gospel Concert
Join us for an evening at the Southern Gospel Concert at the Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso, OK on October 9.
Here are the details:
* Plan to leave BSBC at 2:30PM
* Eat an early dinner at Goldie’s Patio Grill in Owasso
* Doors at Friendship Baptist Church in Owasso open at 4:30PM
* Concert starts at 5:30PM and features MARK209, The Goulds and Masters Voice
* Concert is free, but they do take a love offering
* Concert typically lasts 2 hours
* Plan to stop for ice cream at Braum's after the concert

* We need a headcount no later than October 6.
